Plug turns a web page into a block of product recommendations you can embed. It is free and there are no accounts. This page explains what that involves.
What we collect
- The URL you submit.We fetch that page's public content (title, headings, and body text) to understand what it's about. We don't log in anywhere or read anything that isn't publicly visible.
- The shops we generate. We store the product collections built for your URL so the embed can serve them. They include public product data (title, price, image, store, link) from the Shopify catalog.
- Basic request data.Standard server logs and an IP-based rate limit to prevent abuse. We don't build profiles or sell data.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no tracking cookies, no advertising profiles.
- We don't sell or share your data.
Buying products
Buy buttons hand off to the original merchant's own checkout. Your purchase happens on their site under their privacy policy, not ours. Links may carry a referral tag.
Third parties
Plug uses Anthropic's API to read pages and the Shopify catalog to find products. Hosting is on Railway. Each handles data under its own terms.
